Some screen cars are recognised by their paintwork before their badges. To mark 25 years since the first Fast & Furious film, Essen Motor Show 2026 will bring four original vehicles from 2 Fast 2 Furious together in its modern-classic exhibition.

The display will be in Hall 1 at Messe Essen. Public opening dates are 28 November to 6 December 2026, with a preview day on 27 November.

Four film cars from one collection

ChromeCars is supplying Brian O’Conner’s 1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34, Slap Jack’s gold 1994 Toyota Supra, Suki’s pink 2000 Honda S2000 and Orange Julius’s 1993 Mazda RX-7. The organiser identifies these as original movie vehicles, rather than later fan-built replicas.

Assembling the quartet took the collection seven years. Seeing them together offers a reminder of the films’ role in introducing Japanese tuning culture to a much wider audience, and of how a particular specification or colour scheme can become part of a car’s identity.

Modern classics with a screen history

The exhibition adds another dimension to Essen’s mix of motorsport, customisation and automotive heritage. For these cars, preservation involves more than their mechanical specification: their individual histories and connection with the screen are central to their appeal.
